Estimates and quotes
Estimates are free and are based on the information available at the time. A final fee is confirmed in writing once the scope of the design work is agreed. Changes to scope after work begins may affect the fee and the schedule.
Design services and professional scope
By Design provides architectural design, structural design, mechanical and piping design and CADD drafting services for residential, agricultural and light industrial projects. Where a project requires the seal of a licensed architect or professional engineer, we coordinate with an appropriately licensed professional.
Permits and code compliance
Drawings are prepared for submittal to the reviewing authority having jurisdiction. Requirements vary by county and can change. Final responsibility for obtaining permits and for construction means, methods and site safety rests with the owner and the contractor.
Ownership of drawings
Drawings are prepared for the specific project and site described in the agreement. They may not be reused for additional structures or transferred to another site without written permission.
Field verification
Contractors are responsible for verifying dimensions and existing conditions in the field before ordering materials or beginning work, and for reporting any discrepancy to us before proceeding.
